About Otibara
Otibara, formerly OTB Consult, is a sustainability consultancy founded in Lebanon in 2014. We work on energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building, cooling and climate compliance for development finance institutions, government agencies and private clients across the Middle East and Africa.
How we work
Every assignment is led by a senior consultant and staffed from a specialist bench of mechanical, electrical, civil and WASH engineers, trainers and designers, sized to the job.
Clients include UNDP, UNICEF, ILO, EBRD, Mercy Corps and World Vision.

Nader Hajj Shehadeh
Executive Director and Principal Consultant
Nader has worked in energy and climate since 2007, across energy efficiency, green building certification, cooling and refrigerant policy, and GHG accounting. He is IFC EDGE Faculty and a Sintali-accredited EDGE auditor.
His assignments span 12 countries: Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Georgia and Cyprus, for clients including IFC, GIZ, UNDP and UN-ESCWA.
Across these assignments: 3,009 kWp of renewable capacity, an estimated 59,743 tCO2 a year in savings, 764,067 m2 of floor area and 1,601 professionals trained. Realized figures only; carbon estimated from energy savings.
